“We are thrilled to partner with Axfood/Dagab and Live Brands Factory AB to bring the Angry Birds brand to life in a new and delicious way for our Swedish fans,” said Katri Chacona, Director of Brand Licensing at Rovio.
Live Brands Factory AB has teamed up with Rovio Entertainment to launch a collection of Angry Birds soda, ice cream and cake products in the Swedish market.
The deal – facilitated by Angry Birds’ global licensing agency IMG – will see the arrival of soft drinks called Red (raspberry), Chuck (pear) and Piggy (watermelon), as well as ice cream flavours in Red (orange) and Bomb (cola).
The launch will also include a chocolate cake, called Angry Birds, consisting of crispy wafers covered in milk chocolate.
The collection will be launched in the upcoming weeks through Dagab – the assortment, purchasing and logistics support company for Swedish food retail giant Axfood Group. It will be available for purchase in Axfood Group’s retail chains across the country, including Willys, Hemköp, Tempo and City Gross.
