With BLE fast approaching, we picked the brains of regular attendees and exhibitors on how to make the most of the show. Up next is Dave Collins, Co-Founder and CEO at PowerStation Studios.
Dave, thanks for making time. When did you first attend BLE?
I think I first attended BLE in 2007 or 2008… God that makes me feel old!
Ha! And what’s been your best BLE memory?
In 2019 we were lucky enough to partner with Informa and bring gaming to life at BLE when we built The Arcade experience. It was a fully immersive experience with a Street Fighter punch ball, SEGA retro consoles, Angry Birds AR and a range super cool licensed product.
I remember it! Great stuff. Now, what for you makes for a good BLE meeting?
All BLE meetings seem to be good, but the really interesting meetings are the ones that are talking about what’s coming up, what’s new and what’s fresh.
What’s your key aim for this year’s BLE?
Catch up with industry colleagues and friends, strike some new business deals and have as many photos with characters taken as possible!
Before we let you go, can you give us a BLE tip or recommendation? Could be a restaurant, pub, venue or show advice…
Travel to the venue by water taxi. If you are an international visitor, it’s the best way to see London… It has wi-fi and coffee on the way – and a bar on the way back!
