BBC Studios delves into the archives for new BBC Playback creative guide

“BBC Studios are unlocking the archive to some of the BBC’s most memorable broadcasting design moments,” said Andrew Carley, Director of Licensing for UK/EMEA/Asia at BBC Studios.

BBC Studios Brands has dipped into the archives for a new creative guide called BBC Playback.

The guide – designed by creative agency Skew – is a trend-led, print-ready time capsule for apparel, accessories, and gift merchandising.

It showcases logos and idents from classic BBC TV channels and radio stations, including Tomorrow’s World, Live & Kicking, Radio 1 and Ceefax.

“I am delighted to be announcing that BBC Studios are unlocking the archive to some of the BBC’s most memorable broadcasting design moments,” said Andrew Carley, Director of Licensing for UK/EMEA/Asia at BBC Studios.

“These tap into the nostalgia of the retro fashion trends and we’ll have the opportunity to share this with potential partners at this year’s Brands Licensing Europe.”
