Birmingham City FC rebrands as Small Heath Alliance for Peaky Blinders collaboration

For one match only, players left the tunnel to the sound of Red Right Hand – the show’s theme song – and Shelby Brothers Ltd hoardings surrounded the pitch.

Birmingham City FC went by its original name of Small Heath Alliance for the side’s last match – as part of a Peaky Blinders promotion.

As well as Small Heath Alliance takeover on Birmingham City’s social media channels, the club embraced a ‘retro feel’ to pre-match content, with a special Small Heath Alliance matchday programme.

The reception team wore flat caps, and there was a number of BBC-produced Small Heath Alliance scarves laid out on seats in areas of the ground.

On matchday, the players left the tunnel to the sound of Red Right Hand – the show’s theme song – and Shelby Brothers Ltd hoardings surrounded the pitch.

The collaboration was to mark the launch of the final series of Peaky Blinders, which began on Sunday, February 27th.
