Taking design inspiration from Marshall’s iconic amps, the boot of the car houses a fully-integrated Marshall DSL1 Combo amp.
David Brown Automotive is celebrating 60 years of Marshall Amplification with the launch of a limited edition Mini.
Taking design inspiration from Marshall’s iconic amps, the team at David Brown worked with Marshall’s technicians to deliver ‘the ultimate acoustic driving experience’.
The car boasts an upgraded Marshall eight-speaker surround sound system and the boot is home to a fully-integrated Marshall DSL1 Combo amp.
On the exterior, the wheel rims come in Marshall gold with Marshall ‘M’ wheel centres, the mesh grill is inspired by Marshall amps and the Marshall logo features on the side of the car.
Inside, there are Marshall-inspired textiles, the Marshall logo is embroidered onto the seats and the gold foot pedals feature engraved skip-track, pause and play symbols.
We asked Tim Collins of The Brand Director for his thoughts on the partners. He tells us: “I was very interested to see how Marshall collaborated with David Brown Automotive on this Mini Restored. Much of the car’s interior and trim emulates the design and materials of their distinctive speaker stacks. This is a great example of two companies making the most of a collaboration and really digging into a brand’s DNA.
“A couple of go faster stripes and a fancy paint job was sometimes considered enough, but this shows how collaborations are increasing becoming more and more sophisticated.”
60 of the Mini Remastered Marshall Edition have been made. Check out some details from the car below:
