“I have grown up as a huge fan of Aston Martin, so working with them on this set fulfilled a lifelong dream,” said LEGO designer Dan Squirrell.
Aston Martin’s AMR23 F1 race car is getting the LEGO treatment, along with the Aston Martin Vantage Safety Car.
The two form part of a double pack of LEGO Speed Champions car toys, each boasting authentic design details from the real-life versions.
Once assembled, the 564-piece building kit measures more than 4cm high, 19cm long and 7cm wide.
“We are thrilled to unveil the LEGO® model of the AMR23 Aston Martin Aramco F1 car, the first for our team, which will allow fans to build their own replica version,” said Matthew Chapman, Head of Licensing and Merchandise, Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team.
“We are excited about this collaboration with the LEGO Group to bring the Aston Martin Aramco and Aston Martin Lagonda brands together in one pack. Each model in the set showcases our famous British racing green colours, and we cannot wait for fans to get their hands on this to add to their car collections.”
Dan Squirrell, Designer at The LEGO Group, added: “I have grown up as a huge fan of Aston Martin, so working with them on this set fulfilled a lifelong dream. I especially enjoyed working with the team at Aston Martin and my colleagues at the LEGO Group to get the details just right, by finding new ways to use the bricks to get the correct shapes.”
The deal between LEGO and Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team was brokered by IMG.
