Mac Barnett and Jon Klassen’s Shapes picture books get TV series with Apple TV+

Shape Island – a stop motion series – follows serious Square, intrepid Circle and tricky Triangle on their silly adventures.

Apple TV+ is readying a stop motion series based on Mac Barnett and Jon Klassen’s bestselling trilogy of Shapes picture books.

Shape Island follows serious Square, intrepid Circle and tricky Triangle on their silly adventures as they dig up fun, search for answers and build on their friendship.

The show debuts on Janaury 20th on Apple TV+ and featuring the voices of Yvette Nicole Brown, Harvey Guillen, Scott Adsit and Gideon Adlon.

Authors Barnett and Klassen serve as executive producers alongside Bix Pix Entertainment’s Kelli Bixler and Drew Hodges. Ryan Pequin serves as co-executive producer and head writer.
