“Creating Monster High versions of these beloved characters is a scream come true,” said Mattel’s Rebecca Shipman.
Mattel is bolstering its Monster High Skullector series with a pair of The Nightmare Before Christmas dolls.
The Jack Skellington and Sally dolls – designed by Mattel’s Rebecca Shipman – boast premium fabrics with signature details. Jack is wearing his black pinstriped tuxedo ensemble complete with a bat bow tie, while Sally features her stitch marks, long red hair and a reimagined patchwork dress.
“Creating Monster High versions of these beloved characters is a scream come true,” said Shipman.
“My favourite part of this project was working with our different incredibly talented teams. The sculpting team created Jack’s articulated skeleton body in doll form. Our soft goods team created a suit for Jack’s very slim frame and transformed Sally’s iconic patchwork dress into an evening gown. I also loved watching our team paint Sally’s hauntingly beautiful face and style her GOREgeous long red hair.”
