Ralph Lauren and Rizzoli International launch Polo Shirt coffee table book

Ralph Lauren is also launching The Ralph Lauren Polo Shirt Concept Store in Berlin later this month.

Ralph Lauren has teamed up with publisher Rizzoli International to launch a coffee table book celebrating the firm’s iconic Polo Shirt.

This 544-page book celebrates and documents the style and impact of Ralph Lauren’s Polo Shirt through historic imagery and personal stories of celebrities, politicians, royals, athletes and well as everyday consumers.

“I wanted the shirt to become part of the life of the person who wore it,” said Ralph Lauren, Executive Chairman and Chief Creative Officer of Ralph Lauren Corporation.

“I never knew that after fifty years it would become such a personal icon all over the world. What I do has always come from the way people live. It’s honest and from the heart and hopefully that is what touches the diversity of people who wear my Polo and all my clothes.”

To mark the launch of Ralph Lauren’s Polo Shirt, a limited number of vintage and collectible designs seen in the book will be available to buy in select stores.

Ralph Lauren is also launching The Ralph Lauren Polo Shirt Concept Store in Berlin later this month. The shop will celebrate more than 50 years of Ralph Lauren design through ‘engaging storytelling, exciting visual presentation, immersive technology, special programming and augmented reality virtual shopping experiences’.
