Ravensburger details fifth Disney Lorcana set, Shimmering Skies

Ravensburger has detailed the upcoming fifth set in its Disney Lorcana Trading Card Game series, Shimmering Skies.

In Shimmering Skies, the realm of Lorcana holds a festival to celebrate its recent victory over Ursula, which concluded the previous set, Ursula’s Return. During the celebrations, a new mystery begins as Illumineers search for a way to repair the damage Ursula caused to the Great Illuminary.

This latest set features Disney’s Wreck-It Ralph – introducing characters like Vanellope Von Schweetz and Fix-it Felix, Jr. – and also brings other new characters and gameplay mechanics. All cards in this set can be used to update existing decks or played alongside previously released sets.

Shimmering Skies will include two starter decks featuring a combination of Emerald/Steel or Amethyst/Ruby, booster packs of additional cards and a new Illumineer’s Trove. New accessories include two new playmats, plus a new nine-pocket portfolio showcasing artwork from Disney Lorcana artist Nicholas Kole. New card sleeves and deck boxes will feature Disney’s Tiana and Aladdin.

Shimmering Skies will be released first at local game stores, Disney Stores and Disney Parks on August 9th, followed by mass market retailers and DisneyStore online on August 23rd.
