Roccamore marks 85 years of The Wizard of Oz with shoe collaboration

Roccamore is celebrating the 85th anniversary of The Wizard of Oz with a shoe collection.

The range spans six high heels, inspired by different character and icons from the film. The ‘Dorothy’ shoe features red glitter, rounded toes and eye-catching heels, ‘Glinda’ is a a deep pink colour and ‘Tin Man’ features a sculptural pump in a soft glitter material. Elsewhere, ‘Wicked Witch’ shines an emerald green, while ‘ Rainbow Boot’ and ‘Rainbow High Boot’ feature multi-glitter.

Handcrafted in Italy, each pair is a numbered limited edition, presented in exclusive shimmering red boxes made especially for the celebration.

“Creating this collection inspired by The Wizard of Oz is a dream come true for me,” said Designer and Roccamore Founder, Frederikke Antonie Schmidt.

“Roccamore aims to challenge the often-excluding fashion landscape and inspire women of all heights and sizes to choose the shoes that make them happy. That’s why the collection ranges in sizes from 35 to 44. The Wizard of Oz reminds us that courage and confidence already exists within us all. Our collection is meant to encourage women to express their inner strength. Glitter is part of its DNA, because we believe everyone deserves to sparkle.”
