Rocky Horror Show gets the video game treatment

“This brand extension helps to demonstrate the huge affection that exists for this fantastic property,” said Adam Bass, Director at Golden Goose.

Rocky Horror Show is now an 8-bit-style video game, courtesy of FreakZone Games, Metal X Entertainment and the brand’s US-sub agency The Sharpe Company.

The side-scrolling video game lands next month on Steam, as well as across Xbox, Nintendo and PlayStation consoles.

The game sees players running, jumping, and dancing through Frank N Furter’s mansion, facing tricky traps and challenges – and 8-bit chiptune renditions of the show’s iconic soundtrack.

“Thanks to the work to secure this partnership by our US sub agency The Sharpe Company, Rocky Horror Show is now available in a new format to fans old and new,” said Adam Bass, Director at Golden Goose – licensing agency for the brand.

“This brand extension helps to demonstrate the huge affection that exists for this fantastic property.”
