“The world inside the game offers a multitude of suspenseful and horrifying opportunities to provide guests with a one-of-a-kind experience,” said John Murdy, Executive Producer of Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood.
Universal Studios will be launching a The Last of Us haunted house at its Orlando and Hollywood resorts this September.
The Last of Us franchise – created by PlayStation and Naughty Dog – celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, and the horror house will see guests “immerse themselves in a real-life experience that puts them directly into the game’s frightening world.”
Guests will follow in the footsteps of the game’s protagonists, Joel and Ellie, where they will encounter the many different types of infected, along with other hunters and hostile members of the Pittsburgh quarantine zone. Guests will also explore other iconic locations from the franchise.

Lora Sauls, Assistant Director of Creative Development and Show Direction at Universal Orlando Resort, added: “We are excited to bring The Last of Us to life in a terrifying haunted house that is true to the spirit of this popular video game featuring Joel and Ellie, Clickers and more.”

The Last of Us haunted house experience opens at Universal Orlando on Friday, September 1st and Universal Studios Hollywood on September 7th.
