“From delicious afternoon teas, hand crafted chocolates and thoughtful in-room amenities, we know that families across the world will be delighted by this beautifully executed collaboration,” said Thomas Merrington, Creative Director at Penguin Ventures.
The Peninsula hotel group has partnered with Penguin Ventures for an expansive Peter Rabbit collaboration, spanning afternoon tea menus, stay packages and gifts.
The partnership launches on March 15th with a range of offerings at different Peninsula hotels around the world. This includes a collection of co-branded merchandise that brings together The Peninsula’s Pen Bear mascot and Peter Rabbit.
In illustrations gracing limited-edition apparel, children’s toys and hotel décor, the two characters appear together in a series of Peninsula settings. The designs also mark the first time that Pen Bear has shared the spotlight with another children’s character.
A special Peter-Rabbit themed afternoon tea is also launching between March 15th and December 31st 2023 at six Peninsula hotels: The Peninsula Hong Kong, The Peninsula Shanghai, The Peninsula Beijing, The Peninsula Tokyo, The Peninsula Chicago and The Peninsula New York. The afternoon tea will feature a menu inspired by Mr. McGregor’s Garden and the Lake District.
From the end of this month, Peninsula guests will also be able to enjoy Peter Rabbit chocolates, including a milk chocolate statue of Peter Rabbit and Pen Bear which all guests will receive as an in-room amenity.
The partnership will see the launch of a Peter Rabbit-themed package at four different Peninsula properties: The Peninsula New York, The Peninsula Chicago, The Peninsula Tokyo and The Peninsula Beijing. As well as accommodation in a Peninsula room or suite, the package includes embroidered bathrobes and slippers featuring Peter Rabbit and Pen Bear, Peter Rabbit and Pen Bear chocolate and opportunities to enjoy Peter Rabbit-themed experiences, including nature walks, storytelling and character visits.
“It is an enormous privilege to launch this co-branding partnership with The World of Peter Rabbit, particularly during this auspicious season,” said Mark Kobayashi, The Peninsula’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
“As well as celebrating Easter, which is synonymous with Peter Rabbit we are just beginning the Year of the Rabbit on the Chinese calendar.”
Thomas Merrington, Creative Director at Penguin Ventures, added: “We are incredibly honoured that Peter Rabbit has joined Pen Bear and The Peninsula in this prestigious global partnership.
